This policy explains how DomainWhois handles personal information when you access the Service.
1. Information collected
The Service may process essential technical information such as IP address, browser type, referring page, language preference, timestamps and diagnostic identifiers. Operational logs contain limited service, security and error events. Authorization headers, cookies and database credentials are not intentionally written to log files.
2. Third-party services
Hosting, database, network, DNS and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information while delivering the Service. Those providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
3. Why information is used
- to operate and maintain the Service;
- to protect the Service and its providers from abuse;
- to investigate security incidents and correlate suspicious activity;
- to enforce security controls and troubleshoot failures; and
- to maintain performance and reliability.
4. Retention
Retention requirements are governed by the Service provider’s applicable policies, legal obligations and documentation.
5. Cookies and local storage
The Service does not include advertising or analytics cookies by default. Essential connection, antiforgery or load-balancing data may be used when needed to deliver the site. Hosting infrastructure may add its own strictly necessary cookies.
6. Sharing
Information may be shared with infrastructure providers that host the application, database, logs, DNS or network, or with authorities and affected parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or investigate abuse. The Service does not sell personal information by default.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of personal information, and to complain to a regulator. Requests may require identity verification, and some security records may be retained where law or legitimate security needs allow.

This policy may be updated when processing, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
